Annual Fund

Dear Stillmanite,

As we kickoff the 2013-14 academic year, I want to make an impassioned plea for you to make a commitment to our institution.  We must take ownership of our beloved institution! It is in this spirit that I write this request to thank you for all that you have done for us in the past and in hopes that you will give to Stillman College this year.

It is impossible to write a request for financial support without alluding to the difficulties we’ve faced in 2012.  We are trying to do more with less and to come up with new ways to generate financial support.  America is feeling the sting of unemployment levels not seen since the great depression and a staggering economy.  I know that you understand our situation and that is why I am confident that you will answer our call.

Your gift helps to sustain the mission of Stillman to provide affordable and accessible quality baccalaureate programs in the areas of business, applied sciences, mathematics, natural sciences, education, arts and humanities. This year’s tuition is $24,000; a gift of $100, $250, $500 or $1,000 will allow us to meet the shortfall of a deserving student who might not be able to afford a college education otherwise.  We are aware of the impact on our students and their families as approximately 97 percent of our students receive some form of financial aid.  That’s why we have to increase our fundraising efforts and have set an ambitious goal of $2,000,000 for the 2012-2013 fiscal year.  This goal is absolutely attainable and we need your support!

Please make your gift today as we have a myriad of options for you to consider to ensure that your contribution is meaningful to you and beneficial to our students.   The annual fund needs your participation!  We need for you to consider Stillman in your estate planning and in your wills; appreciated assets and gifts of property are also welcomed.

On behalf of the students, faculty and staff of Stillman I thank you for your continued support.  Without your help, we could not provide the quality academic programs to our students that are required in today’s global economy.

Sincerely,

Anthony L. Holloman
