Student Right-To-Know

 Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act

The College Athletic Office provides data on a participation and financing of men’s and women’s sports in intercollegiate athletic programs.  The Athletic Office also provides data and renames total expenses, and operating  expenses of intercollegiate athletic program.  View data online or contact the Athletic Office for a printed copy.

Student Services

The Stillman Student Development Center provides information and assistance to students with disabilities who are in need of special accommodations. Individual services are available to students with visual, hearing, speech, physical and learning disabilities, chronic health problems, psychological disorders, and temporary disabilities.  Services include counseling, classroom accommodations, adapted equipment, adapted testing, priority registration, and referrals.  Support and assistance in overcoming architectural, academic, attitudinal, and other barriers encountered is provided.  Requests for services must be made prior to the beginning of each semester and current documentation of disability is required to receive assistance.

Information on Accreditation

Information concerning accreditation is listed in the Stillman College catalog.  Additional information may be obtained from the office of the President. All academic programs of the College are approved by the State Board of Education and the Board of Trustees. The professional program of the respective schools of the College are accredited or approved by the appropriate professional associations, or are pursuing full professional accreditation or approval.

Stillman College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award baccalaureate degrees. Campus Security

The College makes available upon request to both currently enrolled and prospective students and in the case of the campus crime report prospective employees and employees.  This report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning crimes that occurred on-campus.  The report also includes institutional policies concerning campus security, such as policies concerning sexual assault, and other matters.  You can obtain a copy of this report by contacting the Campus Police Department (205) 366-8927 at or see the campus crime report online.  Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)

The College Office of Records and Registration and Office of Student Affairs disseminates information annually to students about their rights under the FERPA.  The College’s policies are listed in the student handbook.

 

Drug & Alcohol Abuse Policy

The College Office of Human Resources and Student Development provides annual faculty, employees and students information on the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988.  The information is published in the staff handbook (Faculty and Staff) and student booklet (students).
