- 11-16-2011
Dr. Rosianna Gray, assistant professor of biology, recently traveled to Atlantic City, NJ where she conducted a two-hour workshop on "How to be successful in graduate school.” This professional development workshop was presented by the Educational Advancement Alliance.
“The organization works with institutions and individuals to establish and meet goals and objectives for higher educational attainment. The workshop was a huge success,” said Gray.
The Educational Advancement Alliance, Inc. (EAA) is an educational non-profit organization founded in 1990. EAA provides programs designed to supplement and enrich the educational environment and experiences of students in the School District of Philadelphia (SDP).
“The audience was first semester graduate students at a number of minority and predominately white institutions,” said Gray. “The workshop consisted of telling students my journey to becoming a scientist and some successful tips that I have learned along the way.”
