Stillman will host its 20th annual Black Executive Exchange Program (BEEP) Seminar Friday, April 1, 2011

BEEP’s mission is to share learning experiences across generations, cultivate new leaders, and inspire achievements “beyond the possible” through committed involvement and operational excellence. BEEP exposes students at four-year Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to working professionals in their fields of interest and through that direct contact familiarizes them with the demands and expectations of those industries.

The seminar will take place on Stillman campus in the Stinson Auditorium. A welcome breakfast will begin at 8 a.m. After which, attendees are invited to business sessions focusing on: unemployment, networking, the importance of Internships and self-employment.  Attendees will also have an opportunity for a campus tour, class visitations, and small group discussions over the featured topics. “The Black Executive Exchange Program brings successful African Americans from the public and private sector to historically black colleges and universities to share their experience and expertise with students and help them prepare for successful careers and future visiting professors,” said Dr. Carol Williams, BEEP Liaison and assistant professor of business at Stillman.

This year’s guest speakers include: Eric B, McCalpine, Cintas Corporation-Facility Services Sales Captain; Kenneth E. Law, Equal Employment Manager of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs/TVAMC; and David Wilson, Director of Sales for UPS Mid South District (Alabama, Tennessee and Mississippi.)  Also, special thanks for her participation go to Aundrea Self Nichols, Miss Stillman College 1996.
