Stillman Hosts Meet and Greet
- 5-24-2010

Stillman College hosted its spring event entitled “The Magic Connection: Birmingham to Stillman” May 20 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Parthenon in Birmingham. The event was designed to bring together members of Stillman staff, administration and faculty with incoming students and their families.
Students that have been accepted and admitted to Stillman for the fall 2010 semester attended this meet and greet event with family members. After an informational session, the group dined together. Several Stillmanites, including the president of the Birmingham Chapter of the National Alumni Association of Stillman College (NAASC), Lila Hackett, were also in attendance.
This is the second year that Stillman has hosted this event, made possible through a grant from The Daniel Foundation of Alabama, based out of Birmingham. This special initiative is primarily aimed at reaching Birmingham city high school students. Students from the following schools attended the event: Jackson-Olin, A.H. Parker, John Carroll, Wenonah, Carver, Ramsey, Erwin, Pelham, Pleasant Grove, Fairfield, Flint Hill, Clay Chalkville, Fultondale and Shades Valley.
