Stillman will hold its annual Fall Convocation on Thursday, September 8 at 11 a.m. in Birthright Auditorium. The speaker for this event will be Stillman President, Dr. Ernest McNealey.

Thursday evening, the College will hold its annual Sophomore Rite of Passage Ceremony. “This ceremony marks the official Rite of Passage of sophomore students at Stillman. Rites of Passage are celebrated by nearly all societies and traditionally mark a time when a person reaches a new and significant event or period in his or her life, said Dr. Mary Jane Krotzer, Dean of Arts and Sciences and Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs. “The Rite of Passage is intended not only to celebrate but also to help the individual understand their new role in society.” The Rite of Passage Ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. in Birthright Auditorium.

Fall Convocation and the Sophomore Rite of Passage Ceremony is free and open to the public. For more information, call 205-247-8018.
