BIRMINGHAM | The Stillman College volleyball team bounced back after a tough week and got an SIAC victory over Miles College in Birmingham on Monday night. The Tigers defeated the Golden Bears in straight sets 25-14, 25-15, 25-9. Stillman improves to 6-10 overall and 5-6 in conference play.

Junior Jamila McKinnis led all hitters in the match with eight kills, hitting .538 for the match. Close behind for the Tigers were junior Phyllice Eubanks and senior Anjelica Nixon with six kills each. McKinnis led in assists with 13, while Rayniceia Lewis added 10.

Cynteria Jones led all servers with six aces. McKinnis chipped in three aces. Hudson and Eubanks each recorded a solo block and a block assist. Libero Kiaundra Spann led in serve receptions with nine and in digs with seven.
The Tigers take on Spring Hill College on Friday at 7 p.m. and the University of Mobile at 11 a.m. and Fisk University at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the University of Mobile Invitational.
