Anderson Leads SIAC Cross Country Weekly Honors Again

Atlanta, GA—Benedict’s Dickson Tortoitich and Kaneesha Knowles are this week’s SIAC Runners of the Week for the East Division. Stillman’s Chestina Anderson and Tuskegee’s James Holly are the West Division Runners of the Week.
Knowles ran a time of 28:53.62 in the 6K during the Augusta State Invitational. Clark Atlanta, led by Markeshia Woodson, ran the top women’s team time in the East Division with a total time 1:50:49.06 and an average time of 22:09.82 in the 5K.
Honored for the second consecutive week, Tortoitich ran a time of 34:47.12 in the 10K during the Augusta State Invitational. He helped lead Benedict to the top men’s team time in the East Division with a total time of 3:11:22.25 and an average time of 38:16.45 in the 10K.
Anderson continued to build on her impressive season finishing with a time of 19:39.19 in the 5K during the Jackson State Invitational. Her efforts helped Stillman run the top women’s team time in the West Division with a total time of 2:05:37.27 and an average time of 25:07.46 in the 5K.
Holly ran a time of 28:25.79 in the 8K during the Jackson State Invitational. He helped lead Tuskegee to the top men’s team time in the West Division with a total time of 2:44:33.87 and an average time of 32:54.78.
