Stillman Boutique Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Grand Opening: Boutique Will Help Students Dress Professionally for Less
- 1-12-2011
The Stillman Boutique is holding its ceremonial ribbon cutting on Thursday, January 13, at 11 a.m., in Knox Hall, room 102. The Stillman Boutique will be open for business from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., Monday through Friday.
“It is important to dress professionally, but sometimes students have budgets that make buying business clothing difficult. At Stillman, we believe it to be very important to look your best and that is why every Thursday is campus-wide professional attire day,” said Dr. Sharon Whittaker-Davis, Vice President of Student Affairs and Stillman Boutique Committee Member.
“It is our hope that the Stillman Boutique will afford students the opportunity to dress for success on a budget they can afford,” said Whittaker-Davis. Students will be charged a nominal fee for all clothing items and the money generated will be used to sustain the Boutique.
Those interested in donating items to the Stillman Boutique can do so between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., Monday through Friday, in Knox Hall, room 102, where the Boutique will be housed. Donated clothing items should be clean, pressed and in good repair. Call 205-366-8921 for more information. The donation is tax-deductable and receipts are available by request at the time of donation.
