2014 Homecoming Activities
Announced for Stillman College
TUSCALOOSA, Al (June 20, 2014) – Stillman College alumni will return to campus for the 2014 Homecoming Weekend scheduled for November 5 – 8. Alumni, current students and special guests will gather for activities that highlight traditions and camaraderie.
For this year’s theme “Keep the Tradition Roaring,” activities include the following:
Thursday, November 6
First Lady's Luncheon
New this year, the luncheon will honor community leaders for their dedication and commitment.
Friday, November 7
The Stillman College National Alumni Association Golf Tournament
Tuscaloosa Country Club
*Registration will begin at 7:00am with an 8:00am tee time. All skills levels are encouraged to participate. Proceeds will benefit the Stillman College Scholarship Fund.
Homecoming Greek Step Show
Birthright Alumni Hall
*Showcases the latest fraternity and sorority steps and strolls.
Saturday, November 8
*Stillman Board of Trustees Chairman Dennis Driver will serve as the 2014 Parade Grand Marshal
Homecoming Football Game
*The Stillman Tigers will face the Clark Atlanta Panthers for its rival game. Prior to the game, the Thomas E. Lyle Battle of the Bands competition will be held.
In addition to the aforementioned activities, the Blue Pride Luncheon, Founder’s Day Celebration, President’s Reception for Alumni, Pep Rally and Fireworks are also being planned.
“We are looking forward to having our alumni come back to campus. Homecoming is always a great time for us to celebrate our accomplishments and connect our current student with alumni. Our traditions and history are important to us and we are planning activities to be reflective of the Stillman accomplishments,” said Adrian Scott, assistant vice president of alumni affairs.
