Stillman gets first win on games final play

Damian Ford caught a 65-yard pass from Demarco Starks as time expired to give Stillman College a 26-25 win against Lane College on Saturday.
Lane College scored with 30 seconds left in the game to take a 25-20 lead. Starks completed a 7-yard pass to Ford and then rushed for eight yards for a first down. After an incomplete pass, Starks connected with Ford for the game-winning score.
Stillman (1-7, 1-6 in SIAC) was led by Timmothy Morris, who had 46 yards rushing. Starks had 101 yards passing and had a 12-yard rushing touchdown. Timothy Simon had a 3-yard rushing touchdown. Alejuandro Huerta had field goals of 41 and 48 yards.
Stillman had 294 total yards to Lane’s 285. Stillman had 149 rush yards and 145 pass yards.
