Stillman's Chestina Anderson Headline SIAC Cross Country Weekly Honors

Atlanta, GA— After an impressive showing at the 2010 Morehouse College Cross Country Invitational, Clark Atlanta’s Brittany Robinson and Stillman’s Chestina Anderson have been named the SIAC Women’s Cross Country Runners of the Week. Robinson, who is being honored for the fourth time in as many weeks, is the top women’s runner in the east division while Anderson is the top women’s runner in the west division for the second consecutive week. For the men, Morehouse’s Michael Vinson is the top runner in the east division with Lyndon Walker of Miles College taking the top honor in the west division.
Robinson continues to build on an already impressive freshman campaign, running a time of 21:20.77 in the 5K at the Morehouse Invitational. Her time was good enough to finish third in a field that included several Division I athletes. Robinson helped lead the Clark Atlanta women to a first place finish in the non-Division I category, second overall, while also finishing with the top women’s team time in the east for the third consecutive week. The Lady Panthers posted a total time of 1:56.76 and an average time of 23:16.76.

Her efforts helped Stillman finish with the top women’s team time in the west with a total time of 2:10:52.96 and an average time of 26:10.60. Anderson also ran the SIAC’s top women’s time for the second consecutive week.
