Strategic Plan 2012-2017
The College mantra is “Being the Best Having the Best and Doing the Best.” These have been the core value set by our 5th and current President Dr. Ernest McNealey. The Strategic Plan reflects the goal achievement going forward. As the 21st Century and Higher Education evolve the college constantly update and revised the Plan annually.
The foundation for achieving more in the future is operational efficiency and effectiveness. As Stillman looks to the future, each facet of the College must plan in ways to insure that its foot print minimizes costs and that it activities generate revenue directly or indirectly. This Plan addresses how the College will achieve and maintain excellence across critical operational areas.
The College enjoys a wealth of traditions and symbols that reflect intentionality not only about what we do, but how we do what we do. While this truth is reflected from academics through athletics, the implementation strategies that undergird the Plan are intended to re-enforce the view that doing things well is not only a virtue, but a part of the Stillman brand.
As such, knowing themselves and being true to their realities, or brands, will allow such institutions to present themselves in, and respond to the marketplace more effectively. This strategic plan revisits the notion of the Stillman brand and a strategy to cement and spread the image that the College values and believes to be relevant, while planning for its natural evolution.
It is a pleasure to share this document with global community, our willingness to be an intentional community dedicated to the commn good, and our commitment to championing liberal arts education in the nation and around the world.
