Tigers Split with Mobile

Game 1
Tuscaloosa, AL| The Stillman College baseball team took on the University of Mobile Wednesday afternoon in a double header.
In the first game, Stillman came away with the victory 6-5.
Mobile would jump on the tigers early scoring two runs in the first inning off one hit.
Stillman would answer in the second with a run and again in the third inning with two runs.
Mobile would score 3 runs in its half of the seventh inning giving the rams the 5-4 lead heading into the bottom of the seventh inning.
Stillman would not lay down as senior Right Fielder Mike Jackson walked to start the inning and Catcher Justin Bryan followed with a bunt single which advanced Jackson to second base.
Mobile’s catcher Travis Williamson’s costly error in an attempt to gun down Mike Jackson at second base , got away from the second baseman and allowed Jackson to score from second base and moved Justin Bryan to third base.
With the score now tied at 5, Transfer second baseman Rey Valdes stepped to the plate and delivered a game winning sac fly and gave the Tigers a win in dramatic comeback fashion.
Stillman scored 6 runs off 8 hits and had 1 error in the ball game.
Hampton Gibbs was the winning p0itcher for Stillman.
LF Dion Bryant and CF Sean Blair each had two hits and scored two runs.
Game2
Tuscaloosa, AL| In the second game, Mobile would regroup and come away with the win 10-4.
Mobile never trailed in the contest and collected 10 runs off 12 hits .
The Tigers had 4 runs off 5 hits and recorded a season high 4 errors in the game.
P Alan Butts got the win for Mobile while Joey Mohler picked up the loss for Stillman.
CF Sean Blair, 1b Grayson Crawford, SS Bret Blakey, 2b Rey Valdes, and C Chris Davis all had one hit for Stillman.
Stillman will host North Georgia College this weekend.
