Description

The Admissions Recruiter is responsible for recruiting, engaging, and assisting prospective students throughout the college admissions process. The position develops relationships with prospective students, families, high school counselors, community college representatives, and community organizations to increase enrollment and strengthen the college's recruitment pipeline. The Admissions Recruiter serves as an ambassador for Stillman College and promotes the institution's academic programs, student experience, campus resources, and opportunities.

Job Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Recruit prospective students through high school visits, college fairs, community events, campus programs, virtual outreach, and other recruitment activities. 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with high school counselors, administrators, community college personnel, community organizations, churches, and other referral partners. 
  • Communicate with prospective students and families through phone calls, email, text messaging, social media, and in-person interactions. 
  • Conduct presentations about Stillman College, its academic programs, admissions requirements, financial aid, student life, housing, and enrollment process. 
  • Follow up with prospective and admitted students to encourage application completion, admission acceptance, enrollment, and matriculation. 
  • Assist prospective students with completing applications and resolving outstanding admission requirements. 
  • Review prospective student information and maintain accurate records in the admissions CRM. 
  • Track recruitment activities, student contacts, applications, admissions decisions, and enrollment outcomes. 
  • Participate in campus tours, recruitment events, orientation, open houses, yield activities, and special admissions programs. 
  • Assist with the planning and execution of recruitment initiatives designed to increase enrollment and expand the college's geographic reach. 
  • Represent Stillman College professionally at high schools, community colleges, college fairs, conferences, and community events. 
  • Establish and maintain a recruitment territory and develop strategies to meet assigned enrollment goals. 
  • Collaborate with Admissions, Financial Aid, Athletics, Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and other campus departments to provide prospective students with accurate and timely information. 
  • Make regular follow-up contacts with applicants and admitted students to help move them through the enrollment funnel. 
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information and comply with institutional policies and applicable federal and state regulations. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Admissions Manager or designated supervisor. 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. 
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to build relationships with prospective students and diverse populations. 
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn admissions technology and CRM systems. 
  • Ability to travel locally and regionally for recruitment activities. 
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends when required for recruitment events. 
  • Previous experience in college admissions, enrollment management, student services, sales, recruitment, or a related field.

  • Experience working with high school students, transfer students, and/or first-generation college students. 
  • Experience using a CRM or student information system. 
  • Knowledge of higher education admissions and enrollment processes. 
  • Experience with social media and digital recruitment strategies.
