Description

The Associate CC/TF Coach & Sports information Coordinator supports the athletic areas of our Track and Field programs as well as our Sport Information initiatives, to include coaching, recruiting, athlete development, program and athletic department brand and media exposure. In addition to promotional marketing and recruiting. This position helps to foster a positive team culture, ensures the academic and athletic success of student-athletes and promotes the college’s vision mission and values.

Job Responsibilities

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:1. Serve as Associate Coach/Director of Recruiting for Cross Country and Track & Field.2. Coordinate Sports Information Initiatives for the athletics department.3. Assist with planning and supervision of athletes with training & workout sessions.4. Help build relationships with donors and alumni to support the financial needs of the program.5. Coordinate marketing, media, and brand initiatives for athletics.6. Serve as contact for internal and external communications and events of department in partnership with institutions branding office.7. Ensure compliance with NAIA, conference and institutional polices & procedures.8. Support departments commitment to academic success.9. Attend all team meetings and staff meetings.10. Assist with scouting and recruiting of student athletes with CC/TF programs.11. Coordinate the sports media game day operations with both internal and external partners, in addition to assisting with ordering of athletics media operational equipment.12. Work early mornings, nights and weekends ensuring the goals and objectives of activities are met in a satisfactory manner.13. Perform all other duties as assigned by Head Coach or Athletics Director to support goals of the department.

Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s degree required Previous coaching with proven recruiting success and athletics administration and promotional experience required Previous experience with communications initiative, marketing and branding for athletics to include digital outreach with local media Experience with planning, organizing and managing athletic events for media coordination and executionPreferred abilities: Demonstrated commitment to comply with all NAIA rules education and regulations Successful recruiting of student athletes Valid driver’s license Available for travel as required
