Geneva Hall Renovation – Cybersecurity & IT Training Center (A/E Services)

Stillman College is soliciting proposals from qualified architectural and engineering (A/E) firms licensed in the State of Alabama to provide professional design services for the Geneva Hall Renovation Project: Cybersecurity and Information Technology Training Center located on the campus of Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The project will involve the renovation and repurposing of Geneva Hall to support cybersecurity and information technology instruction, including the conversion of the second floor into modern instructional and support spaces, installation of updated mechanical, electrical, and life-safety systems, roof replacement, window replacement, accessibility improvements including elevator installation, and related site and infrastructure upgrades necessary to support safe, functional, and code-compliant academic use.

This project is funded in whole or in part with federal financial assistance administered through the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration (EDA) and is therefore subject to applicable federal requirements. Substantial Completion of the project must occur no later than June 1, 2027. This completion date is a material condition of the project schedule, and proposers must demonstrate the capacity to support a design and construction schedule that meets this deadline.

Stinson Hall Instructional Laboratory Renovation and Modernization Project

  • REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP)

Stillman College is soliciting proposals from qualified architectural, engineering, construction, and design-build firms for the Stinson Hall Instructional Laboratory Renovation and Modernization Project located on the Stillman College campus in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The project will involve the renovation and modernization of instructional STEM laboratories, including demolition of existing laboratory infrastructure and installation of new finishes, casework, utilities, safety systems, and related improvements necessary to support safe, functional, and code-compliant undergraduate instruction.

This project is funded in whole or in part with federal financial assistance and is therefore subject to applicable federal requirements, including the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA). The selected contractor will be required to comply with BABAA provisions related to domestic sourcing of iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials, as well as associated certification and documentation requirements.
