Description

Stillman College invites applications for a full-time, nine-month faculty position in Accounting within the School of Business, beginning Fall 2026 (or earlier if mutually agreed upon). Thesuccessful candidate will join a collegial and student-centered academic community committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service.

Job Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate courses in Accounting (examples: Principles of Accounting I & II, Intermediate Accounting, Cost Accounting, Auditing, Taxation, and related courses)
  • Advise and mentor Accounting majors and business students
  • Engage in curriculum development and assessment efforts aligned with IACBE accreditation standards
  • Participate in School of Business committees, recruitment, and student engagement initiatives
  • Maintain scholarly activity in accordance with College and School expectations
  • Contribute to community and professional service consistent with the mission of Stillman College 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field required
  • CPA certification or significant professional accounting experience strongly preferred
  • College-level teaching experience is preferred, but strong professional background with demonstrated instructional ability will be considered
  • Commitment to high-impact teaching practices and student success, including first-generation and diverse student populations

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctorate in Accounting or business-related field (completed or ABD)
  • Experience using technology-supported and online instructional delivery
  • Evidence of scholarly engagement (research, presentations, publications, or professional development)
