Job Description:

 

An Admissions Counselor in the Office of Admission and Recruitment is responsible for the recruiting and processing of all incoming freshmen and transfer students. Successful candidates for this position should demonstrate superior customer service skills and professionalism throughout daily interactions and communications with prospective students. The admission counselor must demonstrate an ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members, faculty, students, alumni, administrators, and staff.  A flexible work schedule that will include days, evenings, and some weekends is required.  Travel, a valid driver’s license, and access to a vehicle are required. 

 

Position duties include:

 

  • Attend recruitment events on behalf of Stillman to encourage prospective students to apply and eventually enroll at the College.  
  • Utilize phone, email, and mail to communicate with prospective students in a timely manner, providing superior student service.
  • Become familiar with working territory and demographics of cities/towns in that area to best reach the student population for Stillman College. 
  • Reports on visit statistics, guest feedback and budgetary updates.
  • Collaborate with our growing alumni network to develop new student/professional networks, garner student referrals.  Alumni are to be utilized at information sessions, outreaches, phoning etc.
  • Assist with other tasks related to office functions, including but not limited to servicing walk-ins, answering phones, applicant processing.

 

Qualifications Desired:

Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution.

Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Experience with event coordination. Preference will be given to candidates with a collegiate background.
