RE: Instructional Modes; Campus Events; Student Activities and Athletics, Sept. 15-26, 2021

In order to maintain the safest campus environment possible as we continue the testing regimen that began today, all face-to-face instruction at Stillman College will move to virtual instruction using Google Meet beginning Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2021, and continuing through Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021.

As a result, all student activities and events will be postponed during this critical time. Likewise, all athletic practices, games, events, and activities will be suspended. Band, choir and spirit groups will be suspended during this time, and the instructional components of these groups will be conducted virtually.

Students are asked to maintain social distancing and follow all established procedures for remaining safe and slowing the spread of the virus.

Updates will be communicated via email to Stillman accounts.

Instruction

Faculty will post links to Google Meet in their Canvas course homepages and classes and labs should plan to meet on their normal days and hours using Google Meet. Students are asked to maintain social distancing and follow all established procedures for remaining safe and slowing the spread of the virus.

Dining

All dining in the Hay Center Cafeteria will be take out only; the dining times will remain the same. There will be no dining inside the cafeteria.

Faculty and Staff

Faculty and Staff may continue to work in their offices on campus, but should maintain social distancing guidelines and should avoid gathering in enclosed spaces. The staff of the Academic Success Center should move their activities to virtual meetings with students until Sept. 26, 2021.

Sheppard Library

Sheppard Library will remain open during its normal hours of operation, but students are encouraged to maintain social distancing and follow the masking guidelines established on the campus.

Testing will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021, and Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for students, faculty, and staff whose last names begin with N-Z.

We will assess the possibility of returning to face-to-face instruction and holding in-person campus events when we have the data from the completion of all testing.
