Description

The Vice President for Strategic Initiatives (VPSI) is in the President’s leadership cabinet and directs the Division that leads Strategic Planning, Career Services, Community Partnerships, and the Stillman Foundation.  In addition to leading Strategic Initiatives, the VPSI will also serve as the Chief Transformation Director (CTD) to facilitate the targeted transformation of the College aligned with the HBCU Transformation Project, a partnership between Stillman College, UNCF and Blue Meridian through a process managed by the UNCF Institute for Capacity Building (UNCF ICB).  The Transformation Project requires the CTD to engage with Stillman stakeholders across all divisions to enhance growth and long-term sustainability of the College.

 

The VPSI is responsible for oversight of the Division which involves partnering with the other Divisions on the campus and UNCF ICB to achieve its goals.

Job Responsibilities
  • Focused on the College’s mission, vision and strategic goals, the VPSI will lead the Division of Strategic Initiatives and cultivate collaborative relationships with college colleagues and external constituencies to ensure consistent success.
  • Develop, implement, and direct the strategic planning process of the College in alignment with the HBCU Transformation project, its Sprints, and the Wave program. 
  • Engage faculty, staff, senior leadership, alumni, and students in the transformation process, galvanizing the many constituencies of the college to join in helping to realize the strategic goals established by the Board of Trustees.
  • Be flexible, resilient, and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge and expertise in writing grants and proposals; and
  • Ensure effective management of budget, personnel, technology, and workflow for the Division.
